Social responsibility

We will seek to source investments in forestry assets that can be managed according to best practise standards regarding environmental conservation and socio-economic sustainability. It is our ambition to obtain highly reputable forest certification schemes for sustainable forestry management for all our operations in order to facilitate the communication of our environmental achievements and sustainable practices to our stakeholders. We anticipate that a majority of our investments will involve significant afforestation. We intend to actively seek out opportunities to make a positive environmental and social contribution.

We are a PRI signatory. The United Nations-backed Principles for Responsible Investment Initiative (PRI) is a network of international investors working together to put the six Principles for Responsible Investment into practice. The Principles were devised by the investment community. They reflect the view that environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues can affect the performance of investment portfolios and therefore must be given appropriate consideration by investors if they are to fulfill their fiduciary (or equivalent) duty. The Principles provide a voluntary framework by which all investors can incorporate ESG issues into their decision-making and ownership practices and so better align their objectives with those of society at large.

Historically, investments in forest assets have proven to generate favourable returns for investors. As of today, the outlook for forest investments is as strong as ever at the same time as it has the potential to make a significant positive impact on sustainable global development. We believe that we provide investors with a socially responsible and exciting investment opportunity.
